<i><b>A comment from viewer "Mr. Fridge"</b></i>

Nice review…I think the points you mention catch the jist of what didn’t feel right about the movie.

I was reviewing with a co-worker the movie and here is what I basically narrowed it down too:
- Slow down the acting with 3-4 major scenes and REALLY explore the dialogue

-          I am not a director but I love it when the scene is punctuated with dramatic pause and strong visual acting: as done in the Godfather when at the end of the movie you see Kay standing in the house packing items and several men go to meet Michael Corleone and kiss his ring as his body guard slowly closes the door while Michael looks through to Kay as the door closes…that was an incredibly powerful scene. This book DESERVES those kind of scenes;

o The court room where Hank has the decision handed down, need to show the courts are a part of the pillaging.

o The dinner scene with the parasites should have been a 10 minute minimum scene.

o The non-deserving liberal/crony agent getting his folder from Hank with the title to the business; while showing complete contempt from the man he is stealing from, they could have really worked that scene better, add the dialog of the smugness of the self righteous thieves

o The scene with the head scientist and his complete compromise to keep his job and not his ideals was a major flaw. The speech about his most 3 brilliant students was glossed over so fast that it could barely be noticed…that was a major let down.

- I agree with Francisco needing to be presented with more depth, scenes from his youth when they all hung out together (Dagny, James and Francisco) and his lust for life and success needed to be developed to really understand what a buffoon he portrayed in the current movie. They did that in the Godfather 2 with perfection

All this bad critiquing is making me pissed now that I write it…This movie can be an epic, instead it is looking more like a made for Hallmark TV series!!!!!!!!! Damnit, get Francis Ford Cupola on the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!
