Liberalism is Evil: Part I

Conservatives are often called callus, racist and mean. Yet, on the whole, it is Conservatives that are the most kind, most caring and fundamentally sound individuals I have ever met. I have been frustrated by the complete lack of understanding of the basic human nature that drives Conservatism and the inherent evil that drives the Liberal agenda.

Though a series of posts, I hope to articulate my view of Conservatives and of Conservatism as a whole. Be careful not to read GOP or Republican into any of what I say. Liberals and Conservatives span both parties and I would argue most Conservatives are members of neither.

Liberals are evil. They are self-centered, “me first” focused with little regard for anyone else. How can I say this? Common theory would suggest the Liberals are for the common man, in for the struggle and such. Partially true. They are for the common man; the individual and whatever he wants, regardless of impact to society as a whole. This is pretty close to the definition of selfish. How can I reach such a conclusion when the facts obviously show otherwise?

Lets look at the facts. Unions. Not about the selfishness? Are unions to protect the achiever, the worker that works to better himself and the company along the way? No, they are for the sloth, they guy just trying to get by. They are to protect that worker to make sure he gets his regardless of effort. Achievement is held back and the company suffers, profits suffer. But that is OK because they will get theirs. They will demand their raises and fight to limit any effort to expect more. Sounds pretty selfish to me.

But the most obvious example is abortion. Abortion is not about the child. The child is killed and removed from the equation. It is about the mother. Making sure that she gets whatever she wants. For liberals this is not about allowing the procedure in cases of rape, insist or even a single act extreme stupidity. This is about allowing it any time up to and including birth (as longa as Dr. is present to perform the killing) as many times as needed. This is selfishness at a level that defies reality. It so defies reality that if a Dr. is not present or if the killing is performed by a common man, it is murder. 34 states recognize that harming a fetus in utero is a criminal act; that is unless overruled by the selfish desires of the mother and her doctor.

Social Security and government spending.. spending money they do not have to give to people NOW. We must get ours now, regardless of the impact on our children and grandchildren. Social security deficit is over 2Trillion dollars (and held outside of the published budget numbers) and under Obama’s “everyone gets some” plans our Federal Deficit has crested a Trillion anually. Community Reinvestment Act… I want a house but can’t afford it… we will give you one. Health Care is a right. I do not care if I do not provide enough service to another man to afford my own health care or have it offered to me in return for my services. I live here…I want it.. give it to me.

These are all the acts of selfish people wanting what they have not earned and taking it from others (even those of future generations, including their own children) because they “need” it. But it does not end with selfishness. That is just the beginning.

Death on the slopes! But something is missed.

I have heard all the tragic stories surrounding Natasha Richardson’s death but one thing is missing from every story I found.

As would be expected, the left is all about taking away freedom, demanding helmet laws and ignoring personal responsibility and risk. They will compare this freak accident to other head traumas and add it to the statistics of 50,000 deaths. But most of those are car accidents or blunt trauma to the head. If you look at skiing accidents and death, you drop to 50 or 60 a year (out of 8million+ skiers). Of those most are risk takers on black diamond runs or collisions [and they will equate this to those]. Most [I dare say no others] are a simple fall on a beginner slope. It is like comparing jumping off a swingset to jumping out of an airplane. Where are the calls for helmets and parachutes on playgrounds? Helmets and five point harnesses for all passengers in cars? There are degrees of risk and adults accept those risks when the undertake actions. It is called personal responsibility [dare I use the word Freedom or Liberty] and this country was founded on it. I hope the her family can come to grips with this freak accident and find peace in their lives without joining the media in trying to take freedom from others.

But what part of the story is missing? Let’s take a look at the timeline. Richardson had a skiing accident at a resort 80 miles outside of Montreal, Canada. Thinking nothing was wrong she was accompanied to her hotel by the instructor and a member of the ski patrol. An hour later she said she didn’t feel well. She had a headache, so we sent her to the hospital. An ambulance was called and Richardson eventually was transferred to Sacre-Coeur hospital in Montreal. Richardson was then flown to New York.

This is what I noticed. She was in Canada where heath care is the envy of the American left and she flew to New York. She did not stay in Montreal where her husband was filming. She did not fly to England, the country of her birth. She flew to New York. The capitalist home of expensive health care [Not to mention the best heath care with the best facilities and most researched doctors in the world].

This accident is truly a time to reflect and learn. Not about helmet laws but about the quality of health care in the world and the choices people make in a time of need.

It is a fascinating interview with an Russian defector about the KGBs infiltration of countries prior to overthrow of a country. I know that they were working on this in the 70s and figured most of it had died away. Maybe not…?
