This would not be so bad if this was Entertainment Tonight or even the Today Show, which are “almost- news agencies” already. But this was Politico. They spend about three written pages showcasing his “accomplishments” in being hip. Sighting authors of hip culture. I thought they we somewhat still a decent news source. My bad.

But there is a silver lining to all of this. In fact two. First is that it shows the absolute need for a change in media and they way in whcih the report. A refocusing on the facts and news and away from all of the emotion driven suck-up-id-ness. The second point is, “this is what they have to tout for 100 days of effort?” So he is hip. Ineffective, destructive and moving us towards Statism. But he is hip! The struggle to find something of value to portray on behalf of this president has gotten this tough.

Politico, in trying to showcase his talents, has also highlighted his weaknesses. Unfortunately, his weakness at this point is being President.
