The obvious bias of the media and the “outrage” that a conservative like Limbaugh would use his money to buy and NFL team was obvious to most. Atlanta is a nice focal point to see the differences. Where were the protests when Turner (aka Jane Fonda’s husband) owned sports teams? What about the reinstatement of Michael Vick? So to the NFL a conservative is more toxic then a Communist, Dog Killer..add in illegal drug use, multiple prescription drug addicts (interesting this was brought up as a reason to NOT allow Limbaugh), wife and girlfriend beatings, the knife fights and that is your a pristine NFL.

Now Limbaugh is not alone in being left out of the NFL. You have Plaxico…maybe it was the gun ownership (2nd ammendment) itself and not the unlawful discharge that got them angry.

When George Soros was interested in buying a team (in a 100% capitalistic move against his “beliefs”), any question by Republicans was said to be over-sensitive and politically motivated. Well said. No one seems to have an issue with Kieth Olberman trying to make his way back in sports from the deep political left or Fergie (NFL Owners Approve Fergie as Dolphins Investor).

A few other well stated articles highlight this bias as well:

American Thinker: The NFL’s Diversity Problem

The Wall Steet Journal: The NFL punts to left-wing political intimidation.

NewsBusters: Networks cover Bosgus baloon story 100x more then bogus Limbaugh quotes.

The outright anger against conservatives is palpable.
