I am trying to understand the current definition of “greed”. Let me see if I have this right. Person A: Works hard in school, goes to college (10k-15k per year) and attains a bachelors degree, takes and passes the Medical School entrance exams, attends medical school for 4 years (25K-50k per year), works through their [...] A contrast in style. Waxman makes himself an idiot. He never expresses an opinion or listens to the input. He only berates the messenger. This seems to be the standard Liberal argument to all opposition to the growth of government. It is tough to actually find the argument for these tax increases. I have no [...] Those are not my words but the words from Rep Dingell (a Democrat) that supports the concept. Even more interesting is that he even mentions that we examples of it being tried and it simply fails. So the answer, of course, is to do it anyway and tax on the other end as [...] It has now been 100 days and the DOW hovers just over 8000. Layoffs continue. President Obama’s stated budget will dwarf all deficits ever recorded. There is no hope in stopping in in Congress and they are likley to add more of their own projects to it. At that is just the downpayment as we [...] The economy continues to contract and people continue to lose their jobs. It is also important to remember that companies are reporting losses and people that work on commission, though employed are suffering huge losses in income. All of this means less taxable income to all levels of government. So that would mean less revenue [...] Many is the media are “confused” by the seeming contradictions in the ever expanding spending coming from Washington and the statements about the desire to “balance the budget”. Since most of them are devoid of 5th grade math skills they can’t make the connections that most of the rest of us can make…”this just does [...] Those that know me well, know that, during the election, I had the opinion that Obama was a muppet. May argued he was left wing, and that may be true. Other argues that he was more center-left. Though I believed that he was likely far more left then his words, what he said and what [...] This is meant to become a running list of all of the industries specifically targeted for destruction by the Democrat party. Many of these are obvious but the goal it to look at the ripple effects of each of these decisions and understand the impact on the unemployment picture and the economy as a whole. As the economy rolled quickly down the hill, Obama had the option in each debate, his stump speeches, his acceptance speech and to any microphone since to stop the bleeding. He has not. All he would need state is that [...] This country seems to be split fifty/fifty with little way to resolve the fundamental disagreement between free market conservatives and the liberal (more socialistic) redistribution philosophies. As I stated in a previous blog, there is huge tension created by the simple fact that the socialist agenda must take from the free market agenda to succeed. [...] |
